Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services for Children and Adolescents (BHRSCA) is designed to provide a range of non-traditional mental health services to the child or adolescent who has emotional and behavioral problems that inhibit normative functioning in the home, educational and / or community settings.  BHRSCA services focus on the strengths and challenges of the child and family utilizing the expertise and training provided by the combination of a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, Mobile Therapist, and Therapeutic Staff Support to realize stabilization.

Behavioral Specialist Consultant – The BSC, a Master's level clinician, works as a consultant with the family and other treatment team members to identify behavioral goals, intervention techniques, and recommends non-aversive behavioral change practices.   The BSC provides assessment, program design and monitoring of service.

Mobile Therapist – The MT, a Master's level clinician, provides individualized child and family therapy at a frequency and duration agreed upon by the family.

Therapeutic Staff Support – The TSS, a Bachelor's level clinician, provides one-to-one interventions to a child at home, school, day care, or other community-based setting, in order to prevent deterioration that could result in the child being placed in a more restrictive setting.  The TSS assists the child and family with daily living, socialization, and leisure time activities.
