Family Based Services

Family-Based Mental Health Services (FBMH) are comprehensive in nature, incorporate intensive team-delivered, in-home, family-oriented therapies, case management, emergency crisis intervention, 24-hour / 7-day availability, family support and respite services.  Services are non-traditional and emphasize the strengths and resources of the family while addressing the challenges of the entire family.

Service delivery is provided by a team comprised of a Master's level mental health professional and a Bachelor's level mental health professional under the supervision of the Program Director.  A variety of treatment modalities are utilized:
bulletBrief crisis stabilization
bulletExtensive treatment planning and delivery, education, and skill building for children and their families
bulletIn-home therapy, creative interventions, support, advocacy, and community linkages with professional and community supports to meet the challenges of the entire family
bulletA rapid response to need -– services begin within 24 hours of enrollment in the program
bulletTime-limited, 32-week team-delivered treatment.
Eligibility Criteria:
bulletunder 21 yrs of age
bullethave a DMS IV Mental Health diagnosis
bulletservices must be prescribed by a psychiatrist or psychologist
bulletone parent must commit to participate in the service
bulletauthorization from the county MH/MR office
bulletno financial restriction
